two great weeks

We met the Larsens at the beach in Oceanside for one last family date with them. The dads went for a walk with the kids and rented 

We've had so much fun the last couple of weeks with lots of company in town. For us, having people here to visit us our vacation. we never go anywhere these days! Dave was talking to a Dr. who recently took a job here in SD and he says with the cost of living they can't afford a vacation but they live in a vacation town so they just enjoy life here!

First Scott, Abbey and Lance came to visit. They are so fun to have here. Abbey is so great to the girls. They asked her if she would marry dave so she could stay forever (but we're not that kind of mormons! :))   She cleaned my house top to bottom one afternoon and did more in two hours than I could have in 20 hours. Scott is a tressel lover and great at helping me get good traditions such as sitting at the table for longer than 1 minute at dinner and going to bed without fussiness

We always spend a lot of time in the pool when Lance is here. He is part fish! It is so fun to swim with friends.

grandma Joyce also came during that time. It was so fun to have so many of us together for a week or so. We missed pete and dan!

We had a few family gatherings with all the kids. IT was fun to see all the cousins together. They all love each other!  

Lance and Calvin on two occasions spent a great deal of time picking oranges and then making juice.

 Lance also picked flowers one day and brought them in and filled several jars to decorate our tables. He was so sweet.

Before picking flowers for the house, lance first picked a flower and brought it to Abbey. He gave it to her and she put it in her hair. Then when he came back he told her it looked pretty. It was very sweet, totally sincere, and un prompted.
