This year we have passes to the Zoo and Wild Animal Park Safari Park. We have had a lot of fun with those. I only got passes for myself + a guest and Lexey. I can take the girls during the school day or Clare if she is home. Calvin doesn't like the zoo so he never feels bad if we go without him so it is sort of a girl activity we enjoy. In June/July Calvin has school for about 6 weeks after the girls are done so it is an activity we can do while he is in school that he doesn't feel bad missing.
This year is my last year with Lexey home! It is funny how fast it goes by. When you have one or two little kids only at home you feel like you'll be a mom of little babies and toddlers forever but like really picks up speed once the first one starts school and I feel like I'm getting robbed of my time with these later little ones. I told Lexey, "I will be too sad for you to go to school next year, how about you just stay home with me?" Lex replied, "no mom, I have to go to school. You will be fine. I will have so much fun I will not even miss you." She is a cute little person and I've had fun with her this year. Jo and her are old enough to play together a lot now which is great to watch. Jo calls her, "exey" and wants to know where she is at all times.
One day recently I checked Clare out of school at lunch time (and after Jo's morning nap) and took the 3 girls to Safari Park. It was such a nice activity!
Clare is an amzing big sister! We went to the bird show.
We had a picnic lunch and played on the playground.
We also love going to the zoo. Quite often we meet the MacArthurs there. Maggie and Lexey are kindred spirits. For Maggies birthday we did something special and went on the bus tour.
