Once a week, or sometimes less if the weather is nice and we're out doing other fun things, we watch a family movie. We take turns picking but also try to influence the kids when it is their pick to choose something that we'll enjoy instead of a full length cartoon. Some of the biggest hits have been movies from when Dave and I were growing up that we've shown the kids. Lately the kids LOVED Swiss Family Robinson! We also enjoyed Jurassic Park last week. We watched back to the future and indiana jones which are fun (but have a bit of swearing). The kids liked Pollyana, Chitty Chitty Bang Band, Bedknobs and broomsticks. We are looking forward to watching all of the Star Wars movies again since there is a new star wars coming out this Christmas. We'd also like to watch pirates of the Caribbean.
It has also been great to introduce the kids to the great music of the movies, music from pirates and of course all of john williams masterpieces!
