alexey

cutest smile and a little crazy!

I love Alexey. She just turned 6 and a half last week!  She is so darling. She is almost always cheerful and happy. She has the cutest little skip that she does when she walks as she bounces her head and hair around. She is probably my easiest child right now much of the time!  She can play with everyone in the house. Clare is her best friend. They are roommates and stay up way too late talking and playing together. Alexey is also great with Jo. She will play with her, read books to her and keep her entertained when I am trying to get things done. She is also sweet to Calvin (some but not all of the time)!

Lexey has a good sense of humor and sees the irony in things and appreciates little funny things that happen in life. She is light hearted and fun. She is probably like Dave before he started neurosurgery -- pure fun and a yellow personality.

Over the summer Lexey had said she wanted to do dance too but then when we got here she changed her mind. I am not one to pour money into activities my kids are not super thrilled about so we passed on dance.  Now she's begging for gymnastics and does lots of rolls and cartwheels around the house to show me how ready she is for it!

Lexey loves kid food - cheeseburgers, chicken nuggest, pasta with sauce, pizza.  She recently learned she loves meatballs and mashed potatoes (from the deli bob and kari found in houston when they were here).

Lexey loves boys! She is a daddy's girl. She loves the boy babysitters that come over for Calvin. She loves the boys at school.

Lex loves to cuddle at night or while watching a movie. She sleeps with all of her special blankets but no pillow most of the time.

She will give the occasional thumbs up or wink to me when we make eye contact. She is a doll.

I always get a kick out of Lexey's description on her friends at school. After a week or two here I was asking her if she made any new friends, she said: "I had a friend but I had to break up with her because she was too sassy and her desk was always messy. Now I have a new friend"
