4th of July
Jo's first time using the potty...the dentist office has a darling little potty that is just the right size for toddlers. After this she potty trained herself. Once we arrived in houston she un potty trained herself!
With cute tressel
Lexey's first time boggie boarding. She loved it!
Dave was awesome and fixed a few things around the house before we left. Saved lots of time and $$ in having to hire it out. He's quite clever.
For our graduation gift to the kids we took them to Aquatica water park. We left Jo home with Kari since she was too little to join the fun. It was a good day. We loved the rides and the wave pool. The kids played hard!
We love our lands end swim suits
Jo looking grown up with hair in a pony tail.
Lexey and Jo took a summer dance class.
Our summer suprise project was a quilt made out of scrubs for Dave. Karen Davis helped with the top. She is amazing. She is so patient and let the kids do the sewing and organizing. We did the cutting.
Staci Walton is a master quilter and helped quilt. It turned out so amazing.
I love the back flannel with the 50 states.
Paula helped me hand stitch the binding closed.
This became my favorite beach of the summer. Down on mission bay near the catamaran hotel. We would actually park at the hotel and pay $8 (worth ever penny to me so the car was safe and close). Beautiful scenery, boats and great sand. No waves of course but a different kind of beach experience. Great boardwalk for bikes and walking too.
So fun to have a visit from Mark and Niccole and kids in July. They are such nice kids and so fun to have around.
Grandma joyce sent this picture to me after a mishap with Dave's phone (Calvin threw it in the pool and we stuck it in rice to try to revive it). This comic is too funny and could have all to easily happened to anyone! :)
Took Jo to touch the temple!
Clare and I went to see Joseph and the Technicolor dreamcoat. It was a great show. we got a great deal on decent seats through poway high school choir boosters. We saw lots of familiar faces there and sat near the Franz and Davis families! Great night out. Clare has been listening to the music round the clock for a year!
Tressels last meal. Ground beef and scrambled eggs. By the very end he was feeling to lousy to eat anything (which is very unlike tressel) so I had to make him something really good to keep him from going hungry. Did I not write an entire post about putting Tressel down? Hmmm. I'm sure I did.
This was taken while we were at the vet waiting for our appt. So sad. He was a dead puppy an hour after this picture was taken. Love and miss him.
We picked up the ashes about a day before we left for TX. I stuck them in storage so they will be waiting for us when we get back home! It is a very nice box, heavy and real cedar. I can see why it cost so much!
