Dave's awesome to "babysit" (It's not babysitting if it's your own kids!) the kids so I could go out of town for a few days with Lexey. Lex and I had a great trip...more on that later. My friends reported back to me what they heard happened while I was away. Both of these gems resulted from the question, "Clare, how are things going with your dad?"
Responses:
"Good, but the food is terrible!"
"Fine. We only left Jo home alone once!"

We had limited cell service the first few days we were there. One afternoon I called Dave after being at the lake with 0 service for several hours. He said, "it's so hot you get soaked in sweat if you go outside. It's impossible to do anything with both Calvin and Jo since their needs are so different." My reply, "welcome to my life". He said, "yeah, but you do it all the time so it's easier for you." Nope!
